Requesting and retaining data
You share data with us in various places on our website, but also elsewhere during the information and purchase process. However, we only collect the data that are necessary for the purpose that we agree with each other.
LFG only stores your data if you expressly consent thereto. For example, if we are allowed to send you a regular newsletter or if you have yourself registered as a Leolux buyer in the Leolux Service database. If this is the case, your data are stored exclusively for that specific purpose. What is more, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. If so, LFG will ensure that your data are removed from the file.
LFG does not share personal data with third parties unless this information is essential for parties such as post/dispatch companies. This includes address and other information that is needed to send such things as yearbooks or webshop items. Such parties are bound by a data processing agreement in which it is stated that they must comply strictly with data protection legislation and can be held accountable by LFG.
We do not share personal data with parties based outside the EU. An exception is the party that powers LFG’s digital newsletters. This party is based in the US but operates in accordance with EU data protection legislation.
We also make an exception for the cooperation with the Leolux Select Stores. They apply as an extension of the Leolux provision of services and advice.
The data that are provided to LFG are only inspected by LFG. Websites that are hosted by external parties are expressly not authorised to use, store or apply the data for their own purposes.
The transfer of personal data to government institutions and authorities only takes place within the context of mandatory, national legislation.
You can visit our web-pages without telling us who you are. You remain anonymous, therefore.
What are cookies?
They are small, harmless text files that websites send to your computer and which are then stored by your browser. Upon every subsequent visit to the particular website, your browser sends the contents of the cookie back. This allows the website to store the data that correspond to your browser and your visit. This is how our website can remember your favourite models, for instance. We call this kind of cookies ‘technical cookies’.
Other cookies help us to recognise you as a unique visitor, analyse which pages of the website are visited frequently, measure the effectiveness of online advertising campaigns or be able to display certain advertisements based on your browsing history. The first two types are called ‘analytics cookies’ and the second two types ‘advertising cookies’.
All these cookies work anonymously. After all, we do not need to know who visits our website, but we would like to know how a visit to our website unfolds.
Which cookies does Leolux use?
Analytics cookies: These cookies allow us to analyse your visit to our website. Are you able to find what you are looking for easily? Or does it take you several clicks to get to the right page? This information helps us improve our website. A website that provides you with the right information quickly is customer friendly. We do not monitor you personally, the cookies work entirely anonymously.
Advertising cookies: LFG uses banners and other online advertising campaigns. Cookies can measure the effectiveness of these campaigns. If you view a website displaying a banner from LFG, the party that provides the banner places a cookie. We place a code originating from that same party on our website. If you open our website after seeing the banner, the cookie received earlier is sent back to this party. This allows us to measure the effectiveness of a banner or other advertisement.
So-called ‘re-targeting’ can also be used. For instance, you may have first viewed a page on the website. Re-targeting means that you are then shown a new advertisement for LFG later on. This makes it possible to tailor advertisements to the interests of visitors.
You can use the forms to apply for a catalogue, to book a tour or submit a service request, for example. In this connection, LFG only collects the data that are needed for the purpose we have indicated on the form.
We ask for your address details in various forms; we only use these details to create a unique identification. The entered address details, combined with your surname and email address, ensure that you do not appear in our database twice. When you register for various services (such as registration as customer, newsletter, visit to Leolux, request our yearbook), we will combine your data. It is always possible to unsubscribe from the individual services.
You can use this form to forward a query or comment to LFG. Your data will be retained for up to 1 year.
Request printed brochure
Your data will be used once to send the relevant book and not for other/future mailings. We only share these data with our distribution partners for the purpose of dispatch. Your data will be retained for up to 1 year.
You can indicate via an opt-in whether you wish to receive the newsletter. We will also send you several emails in connection with your catalogue request. It is always possible to unsubscribe from these services.
Subscribing to the newsletter
We will store the information you have entered (salutation, name, email address, address details and catalogue request) if you request a catalogue. These data are processed so that we are able to personalise our messages and provide you with the right information. You can unsubscribe permanently on receipt of any subsequent newsletter. We will then delete the data that we saved to send the newsletter.
Leolux Visitor Center
If you sign up online for a tour at Leolux, we ask you for the data we need to ensure your visit goes smoothly. For that, we only need the details of the person booking the tour. Other persons in the group are not registered. After your visit, we delete the stored data.
Registration as customer
LFG does not receive any customer data from its dealers. If you, the consumer, register a model on LFG website yourself, we can help you quickly if there are questions or problems. In that case, the product identification number will be linked to your contact details.
Request for Appointment Leolux Design Center
If you submit a request for this service, we provide your data via email to the Leolux Design Center of your choice. You will also receive a confirmation of your request for an appointment. LFG will retain these emails for 2 years.
The Creator is a separate website. There we will only ask you for data that are needed to send you the information you requested
The LFG webshop is hosted by an external party, but managed by LFG. We only collect data that are necessary for sending the product you requested. Purchasing data will be saved by LFG for 10 years. Orders that are cancelled will be deleted from the system after 1 year, together with any linked personal data.
